The first I'm listened Exile on Main St.,
I took the advice of Mick Jagger, and listened to the record stoned.
In
the years to come the album would be part of my daily routine. Mostly at
night as closing record for the day. In bed, eyes closed, headphone on
and listen. I must have listened for 1 or 2 years every night. I could
dream the album.
But I still couldn't play one single song from Exile. It was years after
listening, that playing came and everything fell in place.
I can't really describe what makes this album so rockin', but maybe it's
not even rockin' and maybe it' soul!
